Cargotec top-ranked in climate change by CDP

Cargotec has received an A- score in the international non-profit CDP's climate change programme, recognising the company’s efforts in climate action. This achievement puts us in the Leadership category of ranked companies.
Companies with an A- score in climate change show environmental leadership and disclose their actions on mitigating climate change and developing low-carbon solutions. Cargotec’s rating improved from a B score in 2021.

"We have chosen to set ambitious climate targets for ourselves and they are embedded in our performance targets - it's safe to say that climate action is integrated into our strategy. We can see that sustainability is a strong driver of growth in our industry, and we have a great opportunity to help solve our customers' challenges in this area, especially through our eco portfolio offering."
Cargotec’s science-based target, which is also part of the strategic performance targets for our core businesses, is to reduce value chain emissions by at least 50% by 2030. We also aim to double the growth of our eco portfolio sales compared to traditional products.
What is CDP?
CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. CDP is widely considered the gold standard of environmental reporting with a comprehensive dataset on corporate and city action.
