EcoVadis: Cargotec among top 1% globally in sustainability performance

Cargotec has been awarded with the highest possible recognition, Platinum, by the global sustainability rating provider EcoVadis. Companies with Platinum-level recognition are among the top 1% of all the over 130,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis. EcoVadis assesses organisations against criteria covering the environment, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Cargotec’s performance improved in all four areas in 2023 compared to 2022, with the company’s total score rising from 73 to 82.

The EcoVadis assessment covers criteria across the environment, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000, covering over 180 countries.
