Cargotec's MacGREGOR business area providing marine cargo handling solutions has received an order for 88 ship cranes from China. The ship cranes will be delivered during 2009-2011 for vessels that will be built at Yangzijiang shipyard. The value of the order is approximately EUR 27 million.
The ship cranes will be installed on bulk carriers, general cargo vessels as well as on container vessels ordered by several ship owners from Europe and North America. 42 of the ship cranes will be delivered for 7,600 dwt bulk carriers. Eight ship cranes will be delivered for 12,600 dwt general cargo vessels. Altogether 38 ship cranes will be delivered for 14 container vessels with capacities of 1,350 and 2,500 TEU.
