Cargotec delivers its 2,000th Kalmar DRF reachstacker built in Sweden

Cargotec recently handed over the keys of its 2,000th Kalmar DRF reachstacker assembled at its production facility in Lidhult, Sweden to Kleinwort GmbH, a long-time customer of Kalmar counterbalance equipment. The new milestone marks the ever-growing popularity of the Kalmar 'F'-series reachstacker known for its flexible operation and overall cost-effectiveness.
Since the start of production, Cargotec has delivered more than 6,000 Kalmar reachstackers worldwide to customers operating at port, railway, inland and other transport terminals. The success of the 'F'-series model further demonstrates how customers continue to prefer the reliability and versatility of Kalmar reachstackers.

Carefully tested before being launched, the Kalmar DRF reachstacker has enjoyed a positive market reception since day one, making the reachstacker a big seller worldwide.
All vital elements such as the boom and chassis underwent extensive FEM calculation during the development process. This was followed by comprehensive subsequent testing in live operation which resulted in unusually high reliability from the very first delivery.
Redundant power and control systems also attribute to the F-series reachstacker's exceptional dependability. The sophisticated hydraulic system ensures operational reliability and greater manoeuvrability, which in turn improves ergonomic conditions for the operator.
The 2,000th unit, a Kalmar DRF420 reachstacker capable of lifting up to 42 tonnes, will be delivered to Kleinwort GmbH next month. The customer serves terminal operators at the Port of Hamburg - one of the world's busiest ports - which further underlines Kleinwort's request for reliable equipment.
