Claes Rudling | >
Claes Rudling has been appointed executive vicepresident of the MacGREGOR Group, and will start in his new capacity as from May 1,2001. Mr Rudling (46) joined MacGREGOR in 1997 as general manager of the RoRo Shipdivision in Gothenburg, Sweden, and as managing director of MacGREGOR (SWE) AB. In his newrole he will be based in the Group headquarters in Stockholm.
MacGREGOR board of directors decided to establishthe new position of Group executive vice president to strengthen the Groupexecutive management capacity. Claes Rudling will report to the Group president, AndersJagraeus.
After obtaining a degree in naval engineering and ann MScin naval architecture while serving with the Royal Swedish Navy, Claes Rudling taughtnaval architecture for five years at the RSN Staff College in Stockholm. He subsequentlyspent ten years with Kamewa AB, where his last position was as sales & marketingdirector.
His time with Kamewa included a posting to Hong Kong wherehe worked as regional manager responsible for the company's operations in Asia. Beforejoining MacGREGOR, Mr Rudling was sales & marketing director of AB Tumba Bruk, asubsidiary of the Swedish Central Bank, which has a security printing works, mint andpaper mill. and a turnover of US$55 million
